Blue Giant

A blue giant burns hotter and brighter than anything else in the cosmos. It pulls everything toward its center — gas, dust, light itself — and holds it in orbit until the moment it can no longer contain what it has become. Then it releases everything at once. This piece caught the moment before that release. Cobalt pulling gold and yellow into its gravity, cells forming like stellar nurseries in the surrounding field, the spiral tightening toward a center that has no bottom.
